Chorus Rehearsals

Chorus rehearsals are held each Monday. Rehearsals begin immediately after school and end at 3:45 p.m.

Parents are to pick up students from the car rider lane at 3:45 p.m. sharp or make arrangements for your student to stay in the After School Program.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Dorsett Shoals Panther Chorus group is to give students in the fourth and fifth grades an opportunity to learn how to perform in front of an audience. Chorus members will serve as ambassadors to represent Dorsett Shoals Elementary in the community. Performances will include both school and community performances.

Bylaws:

• Student must be in 4th or 5th grade.
• Student must maintain excellent behavior and citizenship throughout the school year.
• Student must attend all rehearsals and performances throughout the school year. If a rehearsal is missed for ANY REASON, a written excuse must be brought in and given to Mr. Sills  ASAP. A student may be dismissed from Chorus if he/she has missed 3 rehearsals (excused or unexcused)
• If a student misses a performance, he/she is subject to dismissal from the group.
• A student will be given a warning slip if he/she is disrupting rehearsal in any way. Upon the 3rd warning  the student is subject to dismissal from Chorus.
