Congratulations to the DSES Math Team who recently competed at the DCSS Competition. A special congratulations goes out to 4th grader Armando Hernandez Ardon who won first place in the district for the individual math competition for his grade level. Students on the team are in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades and were coached by Mrs. Radke, Ms. Anderson and Mrs. Shirley. Mrs. Radke says, "I really enjoy coaching math team and building personal relationships with students. The students love the social aspect of the club and are learning skills, too. As we progress through the year, math team empowers the students to become independent thinkers and become more confident with math concepts through group communication. We are growing math leaders at Dorsett Shoals!"
